Next post: Solutions

For my next post I want to write about how people with disabilities complete their everyday tasks. I would like you to tell me what you do during the day that you find difficult. After this I would like to write those difficulties down and see if others have any solutions. I think that this could be a really big help to a lot of people.

If you know of anything that is difficult to do or have a solution please put it in the comment box below.

  1. I was born with CP and I face challenges everyday. My biggest challenges is I forget I have CP because, to me, it's "normal" LOL. I have a grasping reflex and never seem to remember until I want to crack an egg or make meatballs. It's only then I think, "oh, that's right, I can't shape a meatball without squishing it." I use a medium sized ice cream scoop to make meatballs, cookies, even drop biscuits.
Is this the kind of information you're looking for?

  2. I too was born with cerebral palsy, a mild case. Typically I don't see this as a problem because it's just my norm but I struggle typing the standard way. I have a little difficulty using my ring and pinky fingers so I adapted my own typing style. I keep my hands hovered over the keyboard and use mostly my index and middle fingers to press keys. It might drive typing teachers nuts but it works. I'm a professional writer who spends most of his day behind a computer.

    1. I do the same thing. The biggest problem with me is my left hand. I find it very hard to control so I only use it for things like holding the shift button. I also use the computer a lot so I have become a bit more agile with a keyboard
